Welcome to The Castle Inn
The Castle Inn is one of the oldest pubs in the area dating back to the 17th century and built in 1620. The cellar still has tunnels running to the church and the creek which were used by smugglers, to smuggle Tea, Silk & Brandy, but have since been blocked in. The Inn is now known and loved for its traditional Ales, home cooked fresh food and family friendly atmosphere.
We had a lovely family Sunday Lunch here whilst being looked after by pleasant and attentive staff. Good food, nice sized portions and a feel of a nice place in an airy and nicely decorated seperate restaurant from the also decent bar. - Paul 18/3/20
The staff were very friendly and the service and food were exceptional. Good old fashioned family values, just like pubs used to be.We were well catered for, both young and old plus some in-betweeners.This pub really puts itself out for its clientele. A good time had by all and some lovely little touches added to make this an unforgettable occasion.
